Mrs. McGeough’s Classroom – But No Elephants

Mrs. McGeough has class without Minnie today. Minnie complained about not getting paid enough.

Anyway, today we talk about grandmas or special older gals in your life that may act like a grandma to you. We learn the sign for beaver, turtle, elephant, bird, grandma, and snow.

Much Love,

Mrs. McGeough

Mrs. McGeough’s Classroom – The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs

Join Minnie and Mrs. McGeough to help the public dismantle the propaganda behind the story of the 3 Little Pigs.

Mrs. McGeough attempts to draw a picture of a big bad wolf. We learn the signs for cake, sugar, pig, wolf, and neighbour.  We also go through our breathing activities we participate in throughout the day.

The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs is written by Jon Scieszka and illustrated by Lane Smith.

Have a great weekend folks.

Much love,

Mrs. McGeough

Mrs. McGeough’s Classroom – Panda Bear’s Secret

Hello Folks,

We have been missing you, especially on special days like your birthday.

Come along with Minnie and Mrs. McGeough to read about Panda Bear’s Secret.  What do you think the secret is?

Make a panda bear craft and watch Mrs. McGeough try to play the accordion. Learn the sign language signs for happy, happy birthday, mom, dad, panda bear, secret and accordion.  Book by Michaela Muntean.

Enjoy the book and the unruly accordion playing.  Minnie didn’t seem to like it.

Much love,

Mrs. McGeough

Play – get out your favorite activity whether it be cars, toys, stuffed animals or play in the backyard, go for a walk! Do something YOU enjoy! It’s okay to let students get creative, be creative and create!

Cooking – This is a great opportunity to have individuals work on their senses. Pick a meal and have the individuals help make it. Even if they do not eat it, the point of this activity is to work on.

Much love,

Mrs. McGeough

Mrs. McGeough’s Classroom – Poorly Pig

The story is called Poor Poorly Pig, but the only poor soul around this afternoon was Mrs. McGeough as she was having a rough time in terms of technology. This isn’t her best work, but she wanted to say hi before the weekend.

As Kenny Rogers says, “You gotta know when to hold ‘em and know when to fold ‘em.” And Mrs. McGeough definitely had to fold ‘em at this point.  Have a great weekend.
